The design, construction and finishing of my sculptures take place in my studio and shop.  It is a hands on activity that I enjoy greatly.  However, I am limited by the physical spaces I have.  I found working with materials suitable to my situation is practical and best.  My outdoor sculptures are made of industrial strength materials created for the automotive, marine and aerospace industries.  I utilize epoxy, polyester and polyurethane resins.  They are combined with fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar cloth, depending on the needs of the design.

These materials give me a sculpture that is durable and indestructible as most other traditional materials.  The finished works, relatively speaking, do not weigh much and can be moved easily.  There are options if color is desired.  Besides the compatibility with different paints,  color can be added to the resins, becoming an actual part of the outer surface layers, which is extremely permanent.   Compared to many traditional materials, most of the resins and related materials are affordable, in turn, the finished sculpture is a better value for the client.
